Terms of service
TheEstateWars is operated by Allora Software ("we"). By using the site you agree to these terms.
The game
- Rolling, watching, drawing cards, and winning perks are free. You never pay for a roll, a queue position, or a card draw.
- Money only buys advertising placements: a level on a lot ($50 per level), a takeover of a lot (double what the current owner paid), or a sponsor placement at a fixed price.
- A takeover refunds the previous owner every payment they made on that lot, in full. We pay the processing fees.
- The game runs for a fixed period. When it ends, the board freezes and stays online in its final state. Placements are not extended, moved, or refunded after the end.
- We can pause, extend, or end the game early if something breaks. If we cancel the game before it ends, active placements are refunded in full.
Your billboard
- You must have the rights to the image and the link you submit, and they must follow the prohibited content rules.
- Every creative is reviewed before it can be used. We can reject or remove a creative that breaks the rules. A removal for a rule violation is not refunded.
- You grant us a license to show your creative on the board, on property pages, in share images, and in the frozen board, for as long as the site exists.
Accounts and identity
- You can play anonymously. Your name on the board is the username you chose.
- Your ownership of a lot is tied to your browser cookie and to the email you used at checkout. Keep both.
- Do not impersonate other people or brands.
Payments and disputes
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Their terms apply to the transaction.
- If a payment is charged back, the lot it paid for resets to empty, the billboard is removed, and the account is banned.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost revenue, lost traffic, or downtime. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim.
